Area 302 offers a variety of cultural activities, ranging from the promotion of awareness practices (meditation, yoga, dance, dialogue) to the organization of courses, seminars, lectures, conferences, and other initiatives of scientific, educational, artistic, and social value. In particular, since 2023, it has organized the annual Social Business Conference in collaboration with Social Business Earth, a key event in Ticino aimed at strengthening the ecosystem of impact start-ups and connecting social entrepreneurs with potential investors.

To give soul to dance is, for me, a subtle invitation: a call to return to oneself, to inhabit one’s own body as one inhabits a sacred home, alive with breath and presence [with Elisita].
When promoted consciously and accompanied by our breath, free movement becomes dynamic meditation and allows us to witness the possibility of flowing directly from our Being, without mental interference [with Massimiliano].

The contributions, written by the Guests and Friends of Area 302, arise from the desire to share ideas, experiences, and perspectives related to cultural, scientific, artistic, and human themes. Area 302 Blog is intended as an open space for thought, dialogue, and curiosity, where insights, research, and questions can meet and give rise to new possibilities of understanding.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, Area 302 had the pleasure of hosting in the Mammut Hall the theatrical performance “Diversodachi?”, written and performed by Emanuele Santoro, in collaboration with the Barbengo Middle School. The second-year classes attended two performances, one in the morning and one in the early afternoon, both followed with great attention and engagement.
SBC 2026 is dedicated to startups with a high positive impact and social enterprises, offering them visibility and support. Among the highlights is the awarding of the Sapiens Natura Prize, which rewards the most deserving initiatives with tailored pro bono consultancy and a small financial contribution. The event, unique of its kind in Ticino, brings together national and international stakeholders to strengthen the ecosystem of sustainable development and social entrepreneurship.
Is soul writing difficult? Perhaps, but since it is an evolutionary process, it unfolds step by step. We should not have great expectations; rather, it is better to have great intentions. Uncovering the meaning of our life, recognizing its beauty, and entering into dialogue with our soul are enormous intentions—and it is good that they are.
I cared deeply about that journey. We had planned it to celebrate my partner Max’s sixtieth birthday, far away from a life of constant technological connection and close only to the vastness of the Indian Ocean and the mystery of the creatures it conceals, capable of taking anyone’s breath away as they glide in countless numbers along the coral reef.

The Social Business Conference (SBC) is a key event in Ticino aimed at strengthening the ecosystem of impact startups—enterprises that seek to generate positive change by addressing concrete problems affecting society or the planet.
In Area 302, conversations take place in a relaxed manner, between genuinely interested people. Exchanges don’t follow a predetermined script: ideas are allowed to emerge, converge, and race along, freely and spontaneously.
